dc.description.abstractIn this thesis, the speed control of a 3-phase induction motor by electronic circuitry is investigated and compared with alternative methods used in industry. The design of the control unit to synthesise a 3-phase stepped waveform and the following power amplifiers is described and the experimental results are compared with the theoretical values.
