In this thesis, a heart rate monitor and digital thermometer has been designed and, built. This instrument has low and high alarms for heart rate and temperature. The device does not need frequent calibration and has an operating range, for the heart rate monitor; from 20 to 200 beats/min with an accuracy of +- 5%, for digital thermometer; from 30 to 4S C with an accuracy of +-1%. The design is realized with usual TTL integrated circuit. The Major goal was to produce a desk-top heart- rate -thermometer monitor which allows to calculate heart rate and temperature with enough accuracy, and to realize this in an economical way. The results obtained are quite satisfactory both in performance and economy.
