dc.description.abstractThis study investigated the differences/similarities between Turkish bilingual and monolingual EFL learners in terms of the communication strategies they used in an interaction in the target language (English). Specificc;tlly, the following issues were examined: 1) Whether there were any differences/similarities between bilingual and monolingual EFL learners in terms of total number of CSs used in an interaction in the target language. 2) Whether there were any differences/similarities between monolingual and bilingual EFL learners in terms of their language choice of CSs in an interaction in the target language. 3) Whether, there were any differences/similarities between monolingual and bilingual EFL learners in terms of the categories of CSs they used during interaction in the target language.
