This study is concerned with the behavior of a model pile, embedded in cohesive soil and subjected to both vertical and lateral loads. Strains, due to both vertical and lateral loading, and lateral deflections are measured. The effect of repeative lateral loading on lateral deflections, moments anp load distribution along the pile is studied.
