This study argues that the Young Turks forti1ied the discourse on generational identity and established a foundational generational lexicon for subsequent generations to adopt. It is contended that educational growth has played a critical role in this generation's formation, reinforcing generational awareness and making a two-axis understanding of the concept of "generation" more prevalent. The thesis also explores the pragmatic yet high value that members of this generation placed on youth, and it examines maturity and seniority narratives within their memoirs to discuss the de- 1ining characteristics and boundaries of the Young Turk generation.İttihat ve Terakki Cemiyeti.Turkey -- Politics and government -- 1909-1918.The Young Turks and generational forces128 pages
