Abstract

In this thesis the higher order Ehresmann a-connections are studied as geometric objects. We prove that, any two Lie subgroups of the rth order jet group G~ which are isomorphic to G~ are conjugate. It follows from this result that the geometric objects defined by such subgroups are equivalent to the Ehresmann E-connections.
