dc.description.abstract | In this thesis we study the large Nc limit of SU(Nc) gauge theory coupled to ascalar field in the fundamental and adjoint representations on a cylinder, following the ideas of Rajeev. We use a different kind of light-cone coordinate system to eliminatethe non-dynamical degrees of freedom and express the theory in terms of quark andWilson loop variables. We can formulate a classical field theory using color invariantvariables, but we don̕t provide the solution in this thesis. | |
